Not a big surprise. TBJ reported that the Raleigh market will have 8% appreciation over the next year, better than we are used to having. Also because of the melt down around the country, this will be second in the nation. Now appreciation is neighborhood specific, so while 8% sounds good, unless you lived in California or Florida or Las Vegas over the last few years, 8% will be the average. Five points and Hedingham will appreciate differently, so the 8% number for Raleigh housing appreciation is not that helpful.
But what is helpful is the restaurant tip of the day. Have you been to Don Murray's BBQ buffet at lunch. It is what makes Raleigh great. Fried shrimp, Pork BBQ and banana pudding. Nice.
